Love conquers all, even when there is a Global Pandemic.
We had waited over a year to capture Paige + Jackson’s wedding day. We bonded with these two so well and loved capturing their engagement session. We knew they would be an amazing couple to capture! March 2020 came and with a couple weeks left before their big day, Paige sent me a text I was dreading. The COVID-19 text. We talked about a possible backup plan on if their wedding needed to be cancelled due to the pandemic. We prayed that it wouldn’t come to that but within a matter of days, it did. What originally was suppose to be a 175 guest count wedding, was cut to less than 20 guests in a matter of a few days. Paige and Jackson could’ve easily thrown in the towel and cancel their wedding all together. They could’ve let COVID-19 ruin their day or postpone to a new date. Instead, they knew that they were ready to get married. They didn’t want to wait any longer which is what true love is really about! You don’t need a big wedding day to marry the love of your life.
So on March 21st, 2020 Paige & Jackson tied the knot with just their immediate family in attendance. They picked a smaller venue to accommodate just their family, we took their family photos and just them photos, they had their first dances and speeches and had FAMOUS DAVES. (Chandler was so thrilled and it was AMAZING!) To top it off, one of the family members coordinated a big surprise for the bride& groom and the rest of their family. All the guests that were available and could no longer attend the wedding due to state restrictions, all came to the church with balloons and signs on their cars to still celebrate Paige & Jackson getting married. All within 6 feet apart of each other!
That day taught us that even during a world of the unknown, love always wins. Paige & Jackson may not have had the wedding they originally planned but when it comes down to it, the day was about them and their love for each other. And that is what weddings and marriages should be about.
